Unicode Character for Indian Rupee

0
Combination of Devanagri 'ra' and Roman 'R'

It is good news to Indian people that in few months we are getting our rupee symbol on keyboards ,there was a proposal sent to unicode consortium to attach our symbol to keyboard at 6 [Shift+6].Unicode consortium decided to approve in few months. The unicode character proposed by our government is U+0971.You can check this character by typing Alt+0971 in Ms-Word , the old charcter will be replaced soon.Hope in future we are able to express our money in .Another good news is Micosoft is giving help to provide necessary software to change our keyboard character and unicode character.

For the users, Microsoft said, "there would be no need of buying new software and an update would be provided on their current operating systems (obviously!). However, we see room for exploitation of the naïve as far as hardware is concerned, which reminds us of the mess that Y2Kwas. Keyboard manufacturers will definitely try to lure the corporates by advertising new keyboards, with the rupee symbol on them. But we, at Digit, vow that we would not let this happen. (Feel like Superman already!) Well, software can change one of the symbols on your current keyboards to type the ‘rupee’ symbol once it is a Unicode character. And we shall provide that as soon as this happens."

Google survey for top websites

1

Although Google says page rank doesn’t matter much, but it still looks great to see who tops the list. Here are the list of PageRank 10 sites in the World:
  1. http://www.google.com/ — Google homepage
  2. http://www.w3.org/ — World Wide Web Consortium
  3. http://www.usa.gov/index.shtml — US Government website
  4. http://www.hhs.gov/ — US Department of Health and Human Services
  5. http://www.whitehouse.gov/ — The While House
  6. http://go8.edu.au/ — Group of Eight (Education)
  7. http://india.gov.in/ — National portal of India
  8. http://www.miibeian.gov.cn/ — Miibeian (China’s IT department site)
  9. http://us.cnn.com/ — CNN
  10. http://get.adobe.com/reader/ — Adobe Reader & http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ — Adobe Flash Player
  11. http://www.facebook.com/ — Facebook
  12. http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php — AddThis social bookmarking widget
5 sites in the list are government websites .2 PR10 sites are Adobe’s and the only PageRank 10 sites for software. Facebook, the World’s most popular social network site, is in the list, too. The AddThis bookmarking widget made in the PR10 list is surprising me. I think the direct links from all the websites that use the AddThis widget boost its PageRank.

Love is Everything Before Anything

0

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Let us heed our daughter's advice," said the husband to his wife.

"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!! !"

4 wives in our life :excellent story

0

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.
He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He’s very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.
He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant’s confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.
Now, the merchant’s 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.
One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, “Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I die, I’ll be alone. How lonely I’ll be!”
Thus, he asked the 4th wife, “I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?” “No way!” replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word.
The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant’s heart. The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, “I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?” “No!” replied the 3rd wife. “Life is so good over here! I’m going to remarry when you die!” The merchant’s heart sank and turned cold.
He then asked the 2nd wife, “I always turned to you for help and you’ve always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?” “I’m sorry, I can’t help you out this time!” replied the 2nd wife. “At the very most, I can only send you to your grave.” The answer came like a bolt of thunder and the merchant was devastated.
Then a voice called out : “I’ll leave with you. I’ll follow you no matter where you go.” The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, “I should have taken much better care of you while I could have !”
Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives
a. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it’ll leave us when we die.
b. Our 3rd wife ? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.
c. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we’re alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
d. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure.

Body Language Matters alot

0

This is the language where you don’t need any words. Women have been doing it for hundreds of years to attract the man they want. Becoming fluent in body language will ensure that you will be skilled in attracting the right man and sending the get lost signal to the wrong man.
Eyeing Up the Prize
The more eye contact you establish with the target the better. Start with some sidelong glances. Then, begin with direct eye contact. Once he turns to meet your gaze, immediately lower your eyes and smile to yourself. This will tell him that you were watching him and are embarrassed that he caught you — a sure sign of interest. Next, be bold and try holding his stare and flash a smile.
If there is a man that is giving you the eye and you are not interested, look away from him and don’t look back at him again. While having a conversation, looking at the ceiling and around the room also shows a definite lack of interest.
First Impressions Count
You leave your home ready to go to a party when you spot your gorgeous neighbor and he doesn’t give you a second glance. Why? Because you aren’t dressed your best. When you enter a room, most people look to see who has come in. This is when you have to make an impression. Looking your best will make you feel your best. So make sure that before you leave your front door, look your best. You never know. You just might just attract the attention of that gorgeous neighbor.

He was unhappy these days. A few days later his unhappiness turned into severe depression. His heart felt like trapped between the two powerful forces; each one pulling it in the opposite direction. He went on extravagant shopping sprees, ate his favorite food, talked with his closest friends but nothing and no one brought peace to his doleful heart.
He opened his safe and took out some more money for his lavish spending. He thought of visiting Bali to cheer his dismal soul up. However, what that pitiable man didn’t know was that black money can buy everything but happiness.
